2nd grade students had a blast learning how to mix their own colors from primary colors in this project! They learned to use red, yellow, and blue to make the secondary colors purple, green, and orange. Kids shared a pallette and painted in a beautifully drawn scarecrow. They also learned how to make brown by mixing all three primary colors. We talked about space in the picture - the fact that the scarecrow is close and large, and the last hill is far away and, therefore, whatever we drew on the last hill is very small. I love how every student gave personal attention to detail!
