I came across this painting on Pinterest the other day and decided we just had to try it! The design is so striking! I tried it with a first grade class, but the results were not great. Using a ruler was a big challenge for them. So, I decided to make it a 3rd grade project, and things went much better. This was a one-day project using oil pastels, watercolor paint, rulers and 9X12 80 lb. paper. Click here for the original lesson.
