The state of Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources, Dept. of Ag. and Rural Development, and the Dept. of Environmental Quality invite students to celebrate Earth Day 2013 by competing in a poster contest. Any student k-5 can participate. There will be a 1st and 2nd place winner in each grade, with winners being invited to Constitution Hall in Lansing on April 18th for an award ceremony.
The title of the poster should be Earth Day 2013. The topic should include an original picture that celebrates taking care of our environment. Any flat medium may be used - crayon, colored pencil, paint, marker, etc. The paper may be no larger than 12X18.
Students should return the completed poster to me by January 30th, and I will send them on to Lansing. Please make sure the student's first and last name, phone number, address, teacher, and grade are written on the back. Good luck!
